A Short History of King Edward Bay Golf Club (Howstrake)

King Edward Bay Golf Course, formally known as Howstrake, has a long and fascinating History.

Founded in 1894 , the course has gone through a variety of transformations since it was laid out by Tom Morris from St. Andrews.

The ups and downs of the course closely mirror the fortunes of the Isle of Man through the 20th century.

The present owners, Golf and Leisure Limited acquired the course in 1985.

The past 25 years have seen King Edward Bay restored to its former glory , with 18 holes of challenging Golf coupled with a superb club house and restaurant.
